“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.” After School Enrichment and Tutoring The Education Center offers After-School Tutoring and Enrichment programs for the Elementary and Middle school students. The tutoring program provides a unique model that utilizes student tutor/mentors from Pagosa High School and certified teachers. Students are recommended to the program by their classroom teachers who provide tutoring instructions specific to an individual student’s needs. The Education Center’s After School Enrichment program is designed to expose the students to new ideas and skills. The Elementary program focuses on cooking, art, science and technology. The Middle school program uses a new curriculum based on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Although this program targets students with special interest and skills in these areas, the curriculum will also help all students to understand the scientific process and the value of facts based on this process.
